Chibi-Moon/Chibi-Usa: She's her best friend. If you didn't know that before, it is because A) you're fool B) It is the first time you read about Hotaru or C) Are you living on our planet? Chibi-Usa plays an important role in Hotaru's story. She's the reason why Hotaru is staying alive… She's her living reason, don't you agree? |

Inner : All inners act like friends, but do they really know her? Do they know that she has a collection of lamp? That she plays violin when she's with the outers? I mean, all they have is pity for innocent people like her and nothing else. I wonder if Hotaru remembers their real names. Whatever… I don't like inners. |
| Uranus/Haruka: At first, Uranus hates her. She (or he??) wants to kill her. I don't think (s)he's meant it, it was his/er work, not her choice (I'll say "she", ok?). She had to do this to save the universe. After the resurrection (because we really talk about a resurrection), their relations are quite easier than before. Uranus has to be her father. She attends of her leisure, this his her role in Hotaru's education. With the other outers, they are a great team. Except for the moment when Uranus-Neptune turn against Pluto-Saturn, under Galaxia's control… But that's another story! |

Neptune/Michiru: Neptune has a soft mind. She's nice, easy, she looks peaceful. I don't know much about her. But I know she turned the same way Uranus did. But Uranus is more aggressive than her. She can be agressive, but the point is that Michiru acts more with Sarcasm and agressivity. When the little Hotaru is reborn, Michiru was in charge of Hotaru's health and meals (as shown in the manga). She was her mother, like Setsuna, but more. Between Michiru and Setsuna for the Mother role, I vote for Michiru. I think she has a half-passive role in the story of Hotaru; Uranus and Neptune could be only one person and the story wouldn't change (the story of Hotaru, not the whole Sailor Moon Story!) |
| Pluto/Setsuna: Pluto is teamed with Saturn in a lot of cases. Because Neptune and Uranus are together, she has to be with Saturn. In the "Mistress Nine act", in Sailor Moon S, she's playing such the same role than Neptune. But in the Stars, her role is specified. While Michiru is the mother, she's the guardian of Hotaru. I don't think she's like a mother, but a guardian. Spiritual or material, as you wish. She is in charge of Hotaru's education. But Pluto, who is a hard worker, learn to Hotaru to be patient and to trust in herself, in my opinion. I really like Setsuna, she's my second favourite character. |
